Shortcuts
Shortcuts
There are a number of shortcut keys that can be used for functionality or adding effects on the grid. These effects are stored in the xlights_keybindings.xml file and can be modified by the user. Note that you must edit this file while xLights is NOT running. Changes will be lost when xLights closes as this file is saved upon exit each time.

The On and Ramp Up/Down effects also enables the intensity to be defined as a shortcut key. Look at examples in the existing file which has a start intensity set to zero and and end intensity set to 100%.
Command Palette
Press Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on OSX) to open the Command Palette, a searchable launcher for any menu command or effect. Start typing and the list filters with a fuzzy match; use the keyboard to navigate and run the chosen command or drop the chosen effect.
Radial Effect Wheel
Double-clicking an empty area of the sequencer grid pops up a radial wheel of your key-bound effects centred on the cursor, so you can drop an effect without going to the effects toolbar. (It is not shown on timing tracks.)
Dividing Timings
Keyboard shortcuts are available to divide the selected timing marks by predefined intervals, making it quick to build up subdivided timing tracks.
